A canteen is a welcome companion. 2 tips for the user: 1) Rinse out after each use. 2) As remembered from Army days, make sure the cap is screwed tight when carrying. A final thought: There are fewer and fewer camping and Surplus stores here in NYC. Supplies like this are only a click away! As it says above, what's not to like?
