When I initially purchased this item I was hesitant, because in the picture it looks like a brighter green than what it really is -- it's more of a metallic olive-ish color.

The cap doesn't "snap" shut, and for me, personally, I like the reassuring sound of something being closed. You can turn the thing upside down and it typically won't leak.I have had two consistent problems with this bottle though.One, since the cap does not "snap" shut, I've had it leak all over my car seat. When I finally noticed I had a wet seat, it was too late.Two, there is a plastic plug in the cap. It has fallen out before, so that is another way for the bottle to leak on you.

Metal is OK, could be a little more durable/thicker. I was holding it probably 4 inches from the ground, when I dropped it on the cement. The short fall left a inch and a half dent on the bottom of my bottle.I also had to gentle hammer the bottom flat again, in order for my bottle to stand straight/not wobble/scratch any counter surface I put it on.

The water flow (or whatever liquid you use) is controlled. I find that it's a bit too constrained, meaning I would prefer a larger flow (speed is fine).None of this is really a break-it deal for me, it still does it's job.

FYI: Even though the description says it is dishwasher safe, the sticker on the bottom of the bottle says, "Not for use with hot liquids."
