(More customer reviews)I got this for my trip to europe this summer. In terms of taste I could not be happier. I filled it with tap water, even water from public drinking fountains in Rome and it gave me clean tasting water. The pop-up straw mechanism is ingenious and keeps you from accidentally spilling. The only problem I had with it was that it developed a small leak in the cap. This was only the case when it lay sideways in my bag, i noticed my maps and travel books would get damp. If I kept it in the side pocket where it was upright all the time it was fine. There is a small, air intake in the cap so it is possible that that is where the water was coming from when put on its side. Still completely closing the lid did not keep it from dripping somewhat. Also when I filled it I noticed, it almost always spilled some down the side when I screwed the cap on. Finally, it is a little noisy when you drink out of it, so its not appropriate in really quiet environments (like churches or theaters). But with those caveats in mind it is the best filtered 28oz bottle I have found so far.
