From the get-go it rattled and shook with a full 27 oz-er while going over anything but pristine pavement. The other day it seemed to be looser than usual and I had to stop and tighten it. Soon after, I hit a moderate bump and the kanteen was flung from the cage, cascading into traffic and acquiring a severe dent along its journey. Upon further inspection the cage had significant cracking and splitting of the plastic around the mounting holes. What a piece of junk. It's clear nobody bothered to test it.
