I thought that I was safe from the dangers of plastic bottles with the aluminum bottle until I realized that there was a plastic liner inside so I bought this stainless model with the wide mouth. This bottle meets my needs especially with the wide mouth which is definitely comfortable (I'm not going backto the narrow mouthed models).The one big issue is the initial metallic taste that you will get on using the bottle for the first few times. I soaked the bottles first in diluted vinegar then washed them with detergent but you will definitely notice the metallic aftertaste. The only good thing is that the taste disappears with time. Maybe by soaking the bottles for a longer time before initial use you can avoid the aftertaste. Otherwise, this item performs as expected.
